Aud Blonde may be the lightest colored beer we have ever brewed at Russian River Brewing Company, but don't be fooled into thinking that this beer is light in flavor. Aud Blonde has a refined characteristic, which can be contributed to us blending pilsner malt with a unique hop called crystal. The distinctive characteristic of the crystal hop lends a citrus, almost eucalyptus quality in the aroma and mouth feel of the brew, while leaving the beer with a long dry finish.

2 oz. sample draft at the brew pub in Santa Rosa, California. The pour is very light straw golden. The aroma is light honey floral, with a nicely balanced toasted malt. The taste very smooth cracker malt with a touch of grassy hop floral waking up the finish. The palate is light bodied, clean and crisp, very easy drinking. Super well balanced. This is everything the style should be, I really enjoyed this.

A blonde ale with thin white creamy head. A light herbal malt aroma with light British hops. In mouth, a nice classy biscuitty malt with light British hops, pinhey and floral, very good. On tap at brewpub, August 17 2009.

On tap at the Pizza Port Session Ale fest. Pours with a rocky white head over a hazed golden body with great lace. Aroma is spicy, and herbal hops, with a light melon note, pepper and a trace amount of wheat. Taste is light, bready and slightly metallicy bitter with a grassy and eucalyptus note. Fizzy and dry.

Big thanks to golubj. Pours cyrstal clear golden/yellow with a small but strong head. Aroma is lightly bread-y malts with light earthy hops. Taste is a nicely dry with a nice blend of pils malt and lightly sweet white-bread maltiness. Also has a lightly bitter and very calm hoppy finish. I really like it, easy drinking with a pils/Belgian mix.
