Hazy pale amber, medium head. Floral, some phenols, low bitterness…not what I expected from Sante.

[2/13/15] Draught at Sante Adairius Rustic Ales in Capitola. Hazy shiny yellow. Fruity esters aroma with yeast, some phenolic spiciness and a rye note. Dry flavor with faint sweetness, some graininess, fruity esters and spiciness that’s getting stronger in the finish. Medium-bodied.

Hazy orange. Bread dough, spice and pumpernickel. Honey comb and cereal. Mineral mouthfeel. This is really nice. enjoyed alongside with anais. Think I preferred this one.

Draft @ the source. Pale hazy gold. Aroma is grain, peppery yeast and hints of fruitiness. Very drying texture on the tongue but nice flavors of doughy yeast, tart fruit that has a strong lemon character. Light and refreshing and could be drank in large amounts. (with some water to help between rehydrate) I can see myself sitting in the California sun and absorbing this brew. Nice

On tap at the brewery. Aroma is full of overripe stone fruit and pear. Medium light pepper with coriander and grains of paradise. Low grain notes and a light soapiness. Pours a slightly cloudy, golden yellow with a small, somewhat thin, white head that lingers nicely on the edges. Light lacing and faint legs. Flavor is slightly sweet with light grain notes. Light, overripe tropical fruit and pear. Low spicy, phenolic notes of grains of paradise and coriander. Light bitterness. Mouthfeel is light bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice Saison but not an amazing one. A really easy drinking, summer saison. I find the aroma to be nice, but flavor a bit boring. Good mouthfeel though with a nice creaminess.

On tap at Sante Adairius, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out various cereal grains, some rustic notes, and Belgian yeast - thought the grain definitely takes centre stage. Flavour is similar, bringing out notes of various cereal grains, toasted crusty rye bread, and some Belgian farmhouse rustic notes. Quite dry, grainy and rustic. Full-bodied for a sub-5% saison. Good stuff.
