Draught (as All Blacks@Koht, Tallinn. Deep amber colour with a small beige head. Aroma is fruity, floral, some toffee and mild toasted notes. Flavour is toffee, floral, fruity, some nectar and mild wooden tones too. As it warms up it gets some berries, which actually become quite disturbing.

Tap at Koht. Dark amber colour, medium-sized off-white head and lace. Berries and grass, perhaps light tartness. Light-bodied. Woody, berryish, grassy, a bit tart, sweetish. This is quite bad ... some kind of amber ale.

500 ml bottle from Õllepood Nr 1, Tartu. Pours dark lightly hazy-muddy amber, some foam on top at first but dissapears quite quickly, leaving some lacings. Nose is malty, some washing detergent there as well, not overly appealing. Tastes a bit malty, some tart acidity there in the background, rather low intensity hop kick. Feels infected, can drink it but not worth the price it ended up at the store.

500ml bottle from Bochka in Moscow. First beer from this brewery, which I have wanted to sample for a while. Pours dark brown/red (strange colour for a svetloe [light coloured] ale) with a beige head. Heavy aroma of caramel, dank stinky hops, reminiscent of smelly socks. Taste is sweet caramel followed by hoppy bitterness. It’s a caramel bomb.... and too sweet. Weird take on an APA in my humble opinion.

Eric the Red, Moscow: pours amber with white head. Aroma is pine and malts. Taste is piny and a little too sweet. Not a great APA.
