Sample from the tap at Eric the Red. Pours foggy brown with a medium-sized beige head. Aroma and taste: dried fruits, brown sugar, malt. Medium sweet. Light bitter finish. This is my kind of barleywine.

Appearance: Fogged deep brown with a decent off-white head. Aroma and taste: reach dried fruits including figs and dates. dark malt, caramel, herbal hints. Medium sweet, light bitter. Mouth feel: Full body, soft to average carbonation. Summary: Pretty sweet but still nice.

Tap at the Pražský festival piva 2019. Barleywine is Life! Hazy old gold body, trace head. Interesting aroma, smooth cocoa notes, grainy touches. Similar taste, sweetish, caramel, chocolate, nutty touches, ending just slightly soapy in the end. Otherwise very interesting. Almost great, but...

20.04.2018 -- 0.33l bottle from moscow. bottled on 26.10.2017, so this is different from early-2017 version (24.03.2017 probably): og 27%, abv 13%, ibu 60. pours an opaque chestnut with a small off-white head. aroma of caramel, yeast, dried fruits, booze. flavour of toffee, dried fruits, vanilla, tobacco, slight oak and soy sauce, lots of prunes, especially in the finish. alcohol burn is noticeable. decent, not much fruitiness though.

Tap. Reddish amber color, slightly yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, candy and candied fruits, esters, spirits. Taste: sweet, lollipops and sugar cane, candied fruits and dessert fortified wine, a little white pepper.
