On draught at the Hammerton Brewery tap. Brownish black with a ring of beige head. Sweet aroma, I'm getting some caramel but nothing specifically butterscotch-y. That comes with the sweet, glory taste, a mountain of butterscotch syrup lands on the tongue before an almost harsh hoppy bitterness. Light body for the ABV, medium carbonation. A delicious beer for sure.

Sample thanks to Cloin: Poured a pitch black with off white head. Aroma is very butterscotch! Taste is caramel and butterscotch, vanilla, pecan, roasted rich malts.

Crowler (a new term I've just learnt) thanks to Stuu666. Appearance - dark brown to black with a thick crema head. Nose - caramel, coffee, milk chocolate and treacle. Taste - rocky road, caramel, light vanilla, marshmallow. Creamy milk chocolate. Palate - creamy and medium bodied. Sweet middle and finish. Overall - quite nice.

Crowler at home from CollaBosstFest 2020. A dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a lasting mid tan fizz. Aroma is big vibrant layered dark chocolate, cocoa, hazelnut, vanilla, toffee, burnt coco. Flavour is composed of semi sweet, rounded, caramel and butterscotch, cocoa, vanilla, light raisin and fruit and nut chocolate, some meaty roast. Palate is semi sweet, sticky, fine moderate carbonation, light oils.Packs good flavour for the 5.5% ABV. Big lingering dark chcolate, cakey malts.

Crowler at home, from BD TH, 22/11/20. Black with a handsome tan covering that dissipates in time but ultimately stays for the show. Nose is chocolate ice cream sauce, vanilla, sweet malts, brown sugars, toffee fudge. Taste comprises chocolate melt, nutty, rum essence, caramel fudge, hint of Rocky Roads, sweet kiss. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a sweet edge. Indulgent stout ... good flavour profile ... sweet but kept in check well.
