(Can, 0.25 l - BB 05.10.2022, at Pikkulintu Kontula, 20220619) The beer poured pale bronze and nearly clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had wood, vanilla, caramel and malts. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were wood, vanilla, malts, caramel, toffee, berries, toffee and bitterness. Aftertaste had wood, toffee and bitterness. A delicious malty brew with strong barrel notes and very well hidden ABV.

Teeny tiny can from Westhill Service Station. It pours clear rich copper - amber with a small frothy beige head. The rich, oily, sweet, sticky, resinous, sappy, sticky, bourbon soaked oak, vanilla, toffee, toffee crisp and cacao nibs. The taste is initially drying, toothy, sticky, bitter - sweet, oily, toffee, dried fruits, prune, date, bourbon soaked oak, charred oak, oily orange, touch of marmalade, spice, boozy warmth and surprising smoothness through a dry oak finish. Fulsome body and fine, massaging carbonation. Dangerously drinkable stuff. Not a huge amount of depth for what it is tbh, but enjoyable nonetheless.
