.25 litre glass at their bar in Markethalle Neun on 12th October 2021. Sign claimed 5.5% ABV (not 7.0). Cloudy amber/orange body, off-white topping. Malty front to the semi-sweet brew, caramel aroma and taste, hop balance good.

33 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange, white head. Aroma is toasted malt. Straw and grassy. Crisp hoppy. Grassy and bitter. Crisp hops dry finish.

Heidenpeters Festbier, Fläschchen vom Flaschbierschop. - Goldbraun, schwach trüb. - In der Nase fettes brotiges Karamelmalz, solide herbale Hopfung, fuselige Frucht und Alkohol, bockähnlich. - Antrunk derb und tief karamelmalzig mit breiter zuckriger Süße, greller Fruchtigkeit (überreifer Pfirsich, Banane) und ruppiger krautiger Hopfenherbe. Mild rezent, fast flau, alkoholschwer. Im Abgang faulige Frucht, Zitronenschale und krautige Bittere. Langer bitterer Nachtrunk. - Grobschlächtiges, unrundes Festbier, schwer wie ein Bock und durch schräge Aromatik beeinträchtigt. Kein Grund zum Feiern. (30.3.2021.)
