750mL bottle at Ma Che, 2020 cork, drunk 5/13/24. Magenta-sangiovese. Clear. Light pinkish head steadily to ring. Fruity, bright, robust and with well-macerated and mellowed grape. Gentle oak and vanilla. Some acid on the end but mellow and surprisingly malty overall. Malty, mellow, juicy, mild oak, well-aged grape acid. It's juicy as hell and the grape tannin only builds towards the end, balancing the malt and other sugar. Needs a bit more time to develop some more personality, I think. But as is, it's bright, malty, juicy, mellow and incredibly drinkable.

0,75l from bottle at the brewery. Very dark purple color, small pink head. smells vinous, berry notes, marzipan, earthy. Lovely, lovely smell. Full body, soft carbonation. tastes vinous, earthy, marzipan, light cinnamon, red grapes, some tannins. Finishes dry and lightly to medium sour of red grapes, marzipan and vinous notes. Lovely

Bottle at Cantillon. Very vinous, soft funk and wood but a lot of tannic grapes. Deep notes of plums and ripe red fruit, chocolate even. Lovely.

EB Quintessence Trip April 16-19. Very heavy on the grapes with plenty of black currant and black cherries but still the lama box manages to pierce through. Truly a wine and lambic hybrid and utterly delicious!
