Can to snifter.
Appearance: dark brown to black color with a two finger off-white to almost tan foamy head, mild sliding lace
Aroma: maple syrup, pancake doughiness, chocolate malts, and roasty tones
Flavor: sweet and doughy, chocolatey; maple/chocolatey aftertaste
Texture: medium bodied, thought this would have been cloying but surprisingly enough it wasn't, sweet mapley/chocolatey finish
Overall: absolutely awesome impy pastry stout, I definitely would have again!

pitch black color. No head. Beautiful nose of maple syrup, ginger, pancakes and honey. Medium carbonation tons of maple and ginger in the nose. The palate isn’t quit there. Could be better with lower carbonation. Pancakes and maple linger. I like this, but I don’t love this. The nose is amazing though

Draft: Poured a black with a light brown head. Aroma is maple, rich malts, brown sugar, walnut. Taste is rugged roasted malts, nutty, maple syrup, finish is a bit rough.

Hardywood Christmas Pancakes 9.2% 55 IBU Deep luscious black pour with a thick beige foam and some lacing. Seriously huge fresh maple syrup while the spices and honey somehow evoke blueberry pancakes for me. Full bodied with loads of sweetness and a sandpapery mouthfeel. Bitter chocolate, gingerbread, honey and sweet syrupy maple with some floral accents. Not as hugely christmasy as some other Hardywood brews but damn nice stuff.

16oz can pours out black topped with a tan head. Nose is ginger cookies sweet maple chocolate and spice. Taste is more of the nice maple chocolate roast malts ginger bread and spice.
One last one from last year in the back of the fridge. It's been cold pretty much since I purchased it so it's held up pretty much the same as fresh.

12oz bottle from my brother. Dark brown pour, thin tan head. Aroma brings maple syrup, roasty malts, light chocolate. Taste adds gingerbread to the mix, sweet, chocolate and maple notes. Smooth and creamy.

Gingerbread, maple syrup, chocolate malt, and hay aroma. Black with giant brown head. Moderately sweet ginger, maple syrup, chocolate malt, and mildly bitter hay/grass flavor. Good body - nice balance, not too sweet.
