Keg draught at the Old White Swan, York.light to mid-gold, clear with ample visible carbonation and a small film of white head. Grapefruit and melon in a pleasant if predictable aroma. Tastes better than it smells, with a sugary tropical fruit character. Short finish with little on the aftertaste. Like so many of the second-tier London breweries, Two Tribes seems to produce more than it’s fair share of inoffensive pales. This is one.

One-third pint, tap, at Two Tribes Taproom. Covering white head leaving rings of lace on the glass, hazy yellow-gold body. Moderate citrus nose. Hop fruity flavoured, moments of lemon and grapefruit. Dry, fruity bitter ending. Decent session qualities. (London 22.11.2021).

330ml can on 14th November 2021 from Gorillas. Pours hazy yellow gold with shallow white foam and spot lacing. Citrus, pine and pungency in aroma. Sour citrus liquid pass with pithy lemon and grapefruit, leading to a finish of the same. Smooth mouthfeel and light body.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Tahsin FC. Pours clear pale yellow with a creamy, white head. Lightly sweet, fairly dry, some nice melon, peach and kiwi notes, lemon, light minerality, clean pale malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes cleanly, dry, more lean pale malts, light flinty notes, citrus peel, low bitterness. Enjoyable, especially for the ABV.
