Can from Gedeelde Vreugde. Cloudy black, small, foamy, beige head. Aroma of blue plum, mango, pineapple, grapefruit peel, fondant, espresso. Taste has sweetish plum & mango, bitter grapefruit in a dark-chocolatey malt body. Piney hops in the finish along with bitter citrus peel, mango & coffee nib. Medium body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Soft on the roasted profile but just the right amount of fruitiness.

44cl can. A very dark brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of roasted dark malt, chocolate, coffee, burnt malt. Taste of dark roasted malt, coffee, chocoalte, intense bitter hops.

Can from Bierkiste. Oops, just bought it (probably on) the MHD without realizing, curious how this one ages. Pretty dark black, with a medium brown head. Aroma is citrusy, pine and a bit of caramel. Nice flavor, not as much tropi-fruit as these hops would deliver when fresh I guess. But it's smooth and well rounded, roasted malts not overpowering the hops nor vice versa. Not too sweet. Bitterness is well balanced. Great black IPA!

Tap @MBCC 2022, Blue Session. Very dark brown, beige head. Pine, roast and choc aroma. Roasted, piney flavour, sweet citrus and some chocolate.

MBCC. Black with an off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, roasted malt and moderate hoppy - pine. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish. 130522

Intensiver Hopfenbeginn. Gleichzeitig viel Schokolade, röstig, moderate Bitterkeit. Die Hopfigkeit bleibt konstant, würzig, etwas trocken. Ansteigende Bitterkeit, das Schokoladenaroma bleibt konstant. Langer Nachgeschmack. 12/9/11/9/8/11

Can from SinH4. Murky brown color with off-white head. Quite a bit of chocolate in the aroma. Quite grassy and bright citrus tones. A bit of dried fruit. Seems somewhere in between dark and hoppy and can't find balance between the two.
