Can from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is floral hops with pale malt, estery yeast, bubblegum, grass, spicy notes with coriander, some citrus, and a hint of banana. Flavour is sweet with a mild bitterness. Body is medium. "Houblon Tripel" as it says on the can pretty much covers its, pleasant joining of estery Belgian bubblegum yeast and floral hops.

On tap at Haandgemeng. An unclear one, orange in color, with a small off-white head on top. Some curtains. The aroma is mostly fruity, with some pale malts and alcohol in the back. Orange, grass and a good dash of pine cones. Rather yeasty, both on the nose and the palate. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and quite bitter. Mostly on the dry side, but some residual sweetness, in a Tripel kind of way, exists. Pale malts in the back of the flavor, with pine cones, orange, grass hints and too much yeast. Lasting dry, lightly warming and piney, resiny finish with a good bitterness. A nice one in many ways, but it feels a bit messy and too yeasty. 171027

330ml bottle. Pours misty golden amber, small white head. Fresh tripel aromatics, soft sweet spice. Continues to taste soft sweet yeast, just the lightest citrussy hop nudge with sharp tangy spicy alcohol. Lovely English tripel.

Amarillo edition. Pours bit unclear blonde, médium, stable white head. Smell is intense on the Belgian yeast (esters as well as phenols). Bit creamy. Mild hoparoma. Taste is sharp, assertive bitterness. More yeasty than the beer it's bound to be compared with ( chouffe houblon), but it does kind of work though. Amarillo is there, but could be a bit more to the forground. Nice beer!

On tap at Zagreb Craft Beer Week, 2017. Murky golden. Citrus, herbs, spices and hops, good combo! Balanced toward the tripel in flavour. Medium body, soft texture, subtle and gentle.

Bottle from Inn At Home, Guildford. Aroma of fruit, glue and spice. Opaque medium amber. Bubbly white head soon fades. Initial boozy marmalade citrus sweetness before the hops kick in, providing a bitter edge. Light bodied. Slick. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. Hmm. A mixture of sweet and bitter. It's fine bit for me the sweet element is overly so. Drinking the whole bottle but not entirely sure about it.

Keg at MK VHX, 17/08/18. Very lightly hazed pale golden blonde with a big old off white cap. Nose is bitter sweet fruits, light spice, grains, mellow yeast, fruit slice. Taste comprises stewed fruits, clove, hint of bubblegum, light spice, pear, bread pudding. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a rising boost. Decent for the style ... not too sweet.

330ml Bottle - Amber with a small head. Peach, dried apricot and biscuity malt in the aroma. Grain, coriander, peach, lemon, dried apricot and toffee in the taste. A bit of a disappointment as I was expecting much more.
