26th March 2015: half-pint in my local Wetherspoons. Decent blend, my sweet tooth liking the caramel backbone to the brew. Amber body, small head, a mild fruity nose with light malts coming through. The taste like the aroma was fruits and malts, mostly caramel flavours giving the beer a semi-sweet feel.

Cask at the white lady. Pours clear amber, thick white head. Aromas of butterscotch, toffee. Taste is sweet, caramel, with the faint cry of the hops left out of the boil. Tastes like a chance missed, and deep regret.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. An attractive bright gold colour with a tight cream head; floral aroma; biscuity taste with a creamy body and a touch of vanilla - reminding me of a Custard Cream; and a very gentle bitterness to end. Nothing wrong with it, but nothing memorable either.
