Our East Coast IPA is named after the most easterly region of the Twenty Valley known for its small but steep hills. Originally granted to the United Empire Loyalists after the Revolutionary War, it was farmed by Mennonite settlers who cleared the land for agriculture in the early 1800s. This hazy IPA boasts juicy aromas of tropical fruit with a soft, round body and light bitterness.

can from the LCBO. Pours a cloudy, murky orange, with a large white head. Aroma is super juicy, big notes of melon and stone fruit with some super juciy, oily citrus. Mouth feel is slightly creamy with a solid carb. Finish is lightly bitter, big juicy hops, light mint, loads of citrus.

This IPA poured a hazy medium amber colour with a creamy, off white head. Scents include citrus, a little grass and malt. First swig was nice and smooth with mild carbonation. Flavours of citrus being orange, grapefruit, tangerine and a little marmalade. Finish is a wee bit sweet with citrus flavours lingering.

Can from The Gull, North Vancouver, tag 26JUN20, 2.5 months old
Cloudy blond colour. Nice hop character, refreshing, peach, sweet citrus; it's off-dry, with delicate malt base, moderately juicy; fairly low bitterness (although it states 40 IBU on the can).
Pleasant.

Hazy. Thin head. Has a piney, slightly citrusy hop aroma, a touch of malt, smells big, too. This has a nice fruity note, a bit of orange juice, moderate bittterness. A really good IPA.

Can that pours a little hazy, light-golden bright colour with a creamy-frothy warm head, good stay and some creamy-foamy lacing. Smells a little more on the grassy side, than juicy, but starting to balance itself off while breathing a bit. Seems like more Amarillo hops with the spiciness and grassiness. Milder oranges and hints of lemon. It is soft on the tongue. Juicier in taste, with the citrus notes and mild spiciness in the finish. A dryness then takes over. Gets hazier at the last pour with lots of tiny particles floating around. Not getting much tropical fruits, which should with these hops, but a softer juicy, hazy IPA. A good entry to this style.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold-yellow with bits of yeast that sinks to the bottom and a medium, foamy, long lasting, white head that leaves thick patches of lace. Sweet fruity aroma of wheat malt, tangerine, mango, pineapple, peach and melon. Sweet fruity flavour of bready wheat malt, tangerine, apricot, peach, mango, pineapple, melon and earthy yeast in a dry, mild bitter, light hop resin finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Very juicy and easy to drink.
