12oz can from Brewers Haven. Light brown pour, goes flat quickly. Malty aroma, faintest hint of peat, sweet. Taste is more sweet malts with very light smoky, peat accents. Finishes abruptly with nothing lingering.

Can from Brix Bottle Shop in Kalispell, MT. Pours a crystal clear ruby red color with a small beige head and poor retention. Zero lacing. Toffee and hops aroma. Very sweet toffee flavor with less hops notes than the aroma. Malty. A little unbalance. Slick mouthfeel. Almost no carbonation. Low bitterness. Medium body. Good flavor, but need more body. Or maybe I need a fresh can?

Sample during the ElkMoose Me, But Why Is Your Glass MT? event on 07/10/2020. Clear reddish-copper color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily to an outer ring. Sparse strings of lace. Malt, fruit and hops in the nose. Light-bodied with flavors of caramel malt, stone fruit and mild earthy hop. The finish is sweet with a malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

355ml bottle. (4.9% ABV) Pours a clear ruby red-brown with a small, creamy, short lived, tan head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of toasted bready malt, caramel, toffee and dried fruit. Sweet flavour of toasted bready malt, caramel, toffee, molasses and dark fruit in a crisp, dry, mild bitter finish. Light to medium body with a watery texture and average carbonation. An ok, malt forward Amber Ale.

12 oz bottle from the $10,000 Bar in Montana. Aroma is woody, caramel, earthy, marshmallow, apples, light peat. Pours hazy amber with a quickly collapsing beige head. Taste is malty sweet with flavors of caramel, light wood. Not bad, but my least favorite from what I’ve had from this brewery.

Bottle: Dark chestnut pour with a thin beige head. Aroma is malty, earthy, peat. Tastes malty too, some florals keep it a little crisp, and more earth tones. Not bad.
