Light, crisp, effervescent, and quenching, this seasonal Nine Locks Blonde is a North American-style Weizen brewed with Canadian wheat and barley. Bready, grainy wheat notes give way to a slightly tart, acidic finish with a refreshing hint of watermelon. It is the perfect choice for a summer BBQ, a night out with friends, or anytime you’re thirsting for something a little different.

On tap at Your Fathers Moustache. Pours clear gold with a white head. Watermelon and cracker malts on the nose. Flavour has dry cracker malts, some dry grass, a lot of watermelon. It is what it is.

A 20 oz draft pour at the Shoreline, Digby. My first watermelon beer, and it was a good one.

Pours clear gold and smells mostly of watermelon candy with maybe some bready malt. The sweet flavor is heavy on artificial tasting watermelon. Jolly ranchers. There’s some grainy malt. Meh.

Tap @ the brewery. Nice head with good duration. Color is golden. Aroma and taste are rich watermelon, fruits, flowers and malt. Quite heavy watermelon finish.

This ale poured a hazy light amber colour with a bright white, creamy head. Nice lacing. Scents include watermelon, citrus and a little dough. First swig was nice and smooth with flavours of watermelon gum, malt and white bread. Finish is lightly sweet with that watermelon flavour lingering forever.

473ml can. Pours a clear gold-yellow with a small, fizzy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet aroma of bready wheat malt, watermelon and floral hops. Sweet flavour of grainy wheat malt, watermelon flesh, orange peel and floral hops with a dry, crisp, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. Refreshing and easy to drink. Good patio beer.

Pint from the Wooden Monkey in Halifax, their rotating tap. Pours a clear golden blonde. The nose picks up the watermellon with mild malt. The taste is a mild mix of malt and calm watermelon. The combo has never been my favourite (limited to Kensington's version) but this is ok.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear light yellow gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a great sweet watermelon note with some grains backing. Flavor has a nice sweet watermelon note with some grains throughout.
