True to it’s name, “Leann Folláin” being the Gaelic for “wholesome stout”, our full-bodied extra Irish stout is a fantastic example of how good stout can taste. Flavours of dark chocolate tones with a hint of vanilla combine with the mild mocha aroma. Opaque black in appearance with a tan head, this luxurious stout has a classic European hop bitterness giving a refreshing bite after the chocolate subsides.

Creamy tan head on a dark brown still body. Malt, vanilla & chocolate aroma. Medium bodied, very smooth & creamy with a lively but cloying back. Chocolate, malt, cocoa & coffee tastes with lightly hopped bitter finish. That's a good Stout.

Bottle at the flat in Sofia - picked up from Da Hapna. Pours unclear dark brown with a quickly fading, beige foam topping. Medium sweet flavour, some milk chocolate, soft roast, earth, creamy coffee. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Earthy finish, some bitter coffee, cocoa. Decent.

0,5 l bottle. Pours pitch black with small, quickly dissipating tan head. Aroma of chocolate, deep roasted coffee, toasty malt some molasses, somewhat smoky. Taste is light sweet and medium, dry toasty bitterness. Body is light, almost watery. Finish is quite long, dry roast bitterness lingers on tongue for a while.

Can. Almost black with a tan head that lasts pretty well. Aroma of light roast, mocha, caramel syrup. Dryish with slightly earthy roast and coffee, caramel and quite firm bitterness. A little ashy. Solid drop.

This stout poured a deep black colour with creamy, tan coloured head. Nice lacing. Nice everything since it came out of a bottle. Scents include roasted malts, molasses, coffee and a little smoke. First swig was was smooth, creamy and perfect carbonation. Flavours of coffee, cocoa, dark toast and molasses. Finish is lightly sweet with roasted malt and coffee flavours lingering.

Tap at Mel's Craft Beers & Diner, Vienna, Austria. Pours black, with fine cream foam, limited. Aroma is delicate of coffee, with hints of vanilla and caramelized figs. Body is average, with limited carbonation. Taste is medium roasty bitter, with a hint of sweetish base behind. Final is fairly long and roasty.
