Bon Secours Emeritus is a brown beer that is unpasteurized and refermented in the bottle. It has a deep dark brown colour. Its nose reveals delicate aromas of mocha. On the palate, it is not very sweet, powerful and elegant, while the fruity side quickly gives way to warm aromas of roasted malts. Well-balanced, it has distinguished itself on numerous occasions in international competitions.

Now called 'Emérite'. Hazy dark brown, stable, frothy, tan head; some lacing. Aroma of prune, raisin, dried banana, pear, caramel, syrup, green tea, pistachio. Taste has sweetish prune, raisin & red apple over caramelly maltiness, hint of sourish berry, nutty edge too. Herbal hoppy finish, spicy, bit toasty, dried fruits & warming liqueur-like alcohol lingering. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Plain good go-to Dubbel.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een donkerbruin, troebel bier met een stevig schuim. Het aroma is caramel achtig. De smaak is fruitig en zoetet pruimen in de nasmaak.

Bottle shared thanks to my dad. Bit hazy with very big beige. Sweet sugar, quite some alcohol, red berries, blackberry jelly, soft licorice, bready. Over medium sweet, medium bitter and light sour. Medium bodied with quite some carbonation.
