Pours a very dark brown-to-black. No real head. Scent is not super outspoken, some of the 'green' side of hops, roastyness from the malts are only mildly present. Taste has some sweetness, a doubled bitterness (both from the roast, and the malts). Chocolaty, (the aged, pure cocolate in the back of the fridge, making you realize chocolate doesn't even belong there) . Some green hops, i'd like more fruit in the balance. Though it's certainly very enjoyable as is ! Medium thick body. Medium carbo. Not bad at all.

Thin beige head on a still black body. Burnt, roasted & malt aroma. Medium bodied, smooth on the tongue with a sticky back. Chocolate, caramel, roasted, nutty, burnt & cigarette tastes with a very bitter hoppy finish. Good one.

Can. Buxton online shop. Hazed very dark chestnut brown. Super sticky, lasting, open off white foam. Nose has pineapple and grapefruit. Some roasted malt. Hint of pine. Taste is well balanced sweet fruitiness and ashy, roast malt bitterness. Super smooth mouthfeel with fine carbonation. Lingering bitterness to finish. I’ve come to adore fresh Axe Edge since I first had it, and this variant does the original easy justice.
