Bottle 0.75l, two years aged. Cloudy, orange colored. AROMA- apricot, sour apple, flowery, baked pear, pear compote, herbal and spicy, fortified wine, citrus liquor. FLAVOR- moderately sweet, lightly bitter, warming, nice barrel aged character - fortified wine and wood, pear, white and dark grapes, apricot, rosehips, spicy and floral, fermented pink grapefruit. Full bodied. Nice brew.

Bottle via Malt Worm. Medium body, med-high carbonation. Quickly disappearing head, big bubbles. Hazy peach colour. I also get moderate peach and light over-ripe fruit. The grapefruit is kinda below the stone fruits, coming out more as it warms though, with light sourness and zestiness. Light oxidation present. I do not get any wood. Med-light phenolic saisony yeast. Not sure if the barrels were a good choice here, overall the beer seems to me kinda underwhelming, I expected more. But it is a kinda good fruited saison, no major flaws.

Tap at Beergeek Bar. Hazy golden body, off-white head. Yeasty aroma, light banana and caramel, somewhat stale maltiness, light phenolics, interesting, more of a weizen than a saison in the aroma. The taste, however, distinctly shows what it is. Lean, woody with light apple notes, some light malty undertoness, a bit funky, slightly tart - the grapefruit is there but not too intensive. Somewhat prickly carbonation. Some esters show up as it develops further. The most interesting Matuška beer I've had in a long while - while it's not perfect and not grapey, it's in the end quite tasty!
