Lumberjack is a rye double IPA with sweet tropical and stone fruits aroma. The rye gives the beer its brown color, a full mouthfeel, and an intense almond and molasses flavor.

Complementary bitterness and herbaceous aftertaste come from the use of Chinook hops and dry hopping with Sabro. It pairs well with spicy food and strong Italian and French cheese.

330 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 7.4%, IBU 63. Deep reddish brown colour, large to moderate beige head. Aroma of rye bread and piney hops, hints of prunes and ripe dark berries. Smooth mouthfeel. Pleasant flavour of piney / resinous hops, brown malts and said fruits / berries. Fairly bitter finish. Jolly good! I'll put on women's clothings, and hang around in bars.

Can. Almost clear, deep amber body under a nice, tan head. Aroma has malt, chocolate with ripe and dry citric fruit. Taste is medium sweet, smooth malt, chocolate, cocoa powder, mature fruit, hint of pine and moderate bitterness. Balanced body and same aftertaste. Promising, but something I’m not quite able to put my finger on seems to be missing here – perhaps some more distinct hop flavor and bitterness.

330ml can bought at Vinmonopolet Langnes. Firm, off-white head resting over a next-to-clear dark red-brownish body, fair lacing. Quite promising smell of dried fruits and earth malts, mid-sweet. Fine balance to the taste profile, moments of bread, dried fruits, earthy malts, and a backbone of molasses. Earth fruity ending, rather sweet. Fine depth. Likable. (Tromsø 11.02.2022).
