We brewed two IPAs to test the flavour differences we can achieve by different processing techniques. Boa and Constrictor both followed the same recipe and hop schedule but Boa was brewed into a tall uni-tank and Constrictor into a dish bottomed fermenter. Boa remained in the uni-tank between brew day and packaging, while Constrictor was moved between three vessels to try and enhance the effects of the separate processing methods. Boa has a slightly more bitter, yet punchier hop profile whilst Constrictor is lighter, rounded and juicy.

Keg at BD Tower Hill, 30/10/19. Hazed golden orange with a well presented lasting off white head. Nose is tangerine, grassy, stoned fruits, faint pine, citric tinged straw. Taste comprises bitter orange, faint minerality, light weed, stoned fruits, subtle grapefruit, hint of pine. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close with lightly aggressive hop bitterness. Not bad ... this one grew on me.

Tap. Devonshire Cat. Slightly murky, deep gold. Thick, lasting, white head. Nose has stone fruit esters. Touch of minty herb. Fairly clean grain. Some paper. Taste has pithy citrus bitterness. Fairly dry, and a little tart. Medium body. Foamy carbonation. Lingering, lightly tart bitterness to finish.

Keg @ Knott Bar, Manchester. Drank this one seconds, as suggested by the server, and found this to be the better way around. This version of the brew is much less gassy and has less of a citrus influence. The preferable of the two.
