15 December 2021. At Makadam, Mechelen. Cheers to the lovely Anke!

Hazy dark brown, stable, foamy, tan head. Aroma of brown bread, pistachio, mocha, nougat, plum, hard caramel, pear, liqueur. Taste has sweetish plum, pear & fig, bit berry-like sourish in a brown-bready malt body, bit toasty & nutty. Herbal hoppy finish, slightly earthy, more dried fruit & caramel. Medium body, slick texture, average carbonation. Agreeable.

Pours very dark, caramelly brown. light brown, but clearly tanned head that fades fast. Smell is sharp, caramelly, bit earthy. Taste is sharp, roasty, caramel, chocolate, tad sweet, but countered by the slightly stronger bitterness. Decent carbo, rather thin body. Very drinkable beer. nothing great, but certainly one of their best.
