330 ml bottle, bottled around 1985. Dark brown body, with almost no head. Aroma is quite oxidized, of toffee, chocolate, dark fruits, dark chocolate. Tastes quite similar, a bit more roasty. Medium, oily mouthfeel, with a low carbonation. Finishes medium roasty, medium sweet, with cocoa, toffee, dark chocolate, some toast. Very nice. Drinks like an old Barley Wine, smooth, dark malty and a bit fruity, with some oily character to it. Very lovely for such an old beer. 7 / 4 / 7 / 4 / 15

Sampled at zythod 2018. Thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours clear amber, médium white head. Smell is fruity, candy ( pearl necklace), sweet. Médium intense some esters. Taste is sharp, tad bitter. Bit sweet. Fruity, bit arteficial tasting to me. OK tho. With a medium body and above avarage Carbo.

Bottle @ home. Best before 1991. 8% alcohol. Dark hazy amber colour, still a lot of foam. Sweet nose of dried fruit, plums, caramel and brown sugar. Sweet with light bitter finish. Good for his age!

An old school Belgian ale originally made by a long-gone brewery called Aerts, then taken over by Palm but discontinued meanwhile. Vintage tasted (twenty years old) at the Kulminator years ago. Dark bronze beer with quickly disappearing, pale beige head consisting of loose bubbles - a typical deteriorating ’old beer head’. Same for the body, which had become thin due to the loss of carbonation over the years. What remained, was a sweetish, somewhat metallic beer with hints of dried fruits, toasted malts and tart lactic acid, ending in a dryish, malty finish. Loved to have tasted this when it was young, but that will never happen, so I’ll have to do with this ’old beer’ experience - which, by consequence, makes it hard to rate...

(Bottle 33 cl) Hazy, amber-coloured beer with bottle fermentation. Some malty, slightly roasted notes. A dry hoppiness gets more pronounced when you reach the finish. Sympathetic. 181193

[Vintage 1980 - sampled March 2004 at Kulminator] The aroma is sweet of plums and prunes. The color is brown and it has a small fine head. The flavor is a little flat of wood and plums. The end is dry and woody. A wonderful beer for being so old.
