Bottle from West Coast Liquor, Vancouver
Black colour, large beige head. Aroma of roasted malts and a touch of bourbon. It's full bodied and smooth, very little sweetness left; accent on roasted malts, salty chocolate and burnt sugars, with some bourbon.
Well constructed and elegant.

750ml @ Sales Force. Appearance: dark brown with a beige head. Aroma: bourbon, dark fruits, some roasted malts. Taste: along the same lines with roasted malts, bitterness, some grassy notes. Overall: pretty good.

750mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Nose reveals plenty of bourbon barrels, light spiciness, and earthy toasted malt. Flavour is fairly chocolatey and barrel-heavy, with earthy cocoa powder, bourbon barrels, some spiciness, and moderate toasted malt. Cohesive and with reasonable depth; the barrels aren't the most complex, but it's well-made. Pretty damn solid.

Re-rate: poured from the tap. Dark brown with minimal beige head. Bourbon forward, light-medium body, a bit of dark fruit in the background, okay. Better than before without the metallic notes. Feb 12, 2022 (7/3/6/3/13=3.2): Poured from 750mL bottle. Near black with small beige head. Mild bourbon, fair bit of fruitiness, feint hint of metallic notes.

Jet brown with a rich light brown head. Chocolate and some light barrel notes. Roast and some barrel character. Chocolate and light coffee notes.

Bottle, Gibsons LDB. Dark brown. The nose has a lot of bourbon, some sticky dark malts, and mellow dark fruit notes. Full body, fairly boozy character, and again sticky dark sugars. There's less fruitiness on the palate, so it's a bit simpler. But decent richness, and the fact that it's lightish (9%) means that it has a gentle bit of acidity to help bring about a certain drinkability. There's definitely some rough edges, in terms of the treatment, but it's good stuff.

750 ml bottle. Pours black with moderate head. Aromas of sweet chocolate, vanilla, dark fruit/berries and slick roasted malts. Flavors of chocolate and blueberries, creamy coffee, sweet vanilla and oily roasted malts. Very sweet and fruity for a Porter and I cannot get much barrel, but very good.

Mostly barrel flavour on an OK Imp stout. Decent, but not amazing.
