Once you see its gorgeous colour, you will recognise its boldness.
The idea was to brew big old school beer with a hefty caramel malt body and resinous, piney, grapefruit sort of hop slap. Imagine mountains in the autumn, tops covered in snow, a warm jacket and a bunch of friends enjoying outside air, the sun is tired, the light is slowly going out and the universe is in balance. You will feel warm and filled with the light of hops.

Vollmundiger, frisch hopfiger Beginn. Bitter, dunkel grasig, leichte Heunoten. Milde dunkle Malzigkeit, die Bitterkeit steigt an, der Hopfen bleibt intensiv, frisch, etwas harzig. Trockener Hintergrund, bitter-würzig, intensiv. Langer Nachgeschmack. 11/12/11/12/13/12

28/II/22 - 50cl can from Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 21/VII/22 (2022-221)

Clear dark red brown beer, big creamy beige head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: very floral, bit soapy, fruity, lots of citrus, tropical fruits, juicy. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: nice, very bitter, super resinous, lots of hops, soapy and floral stuff, dry, very nice. Aftertaste: some caramel malts, bitter, resinous, dry, hoppy, good, very nice stuff, always love my Bevog beers, a little oxidized, more of an American Barley Wine rather than a DIPA, but still a very nice beer!

Can at BBT dec/2021. Med-full body, med-high carbonation. I do not like red IPAs, caramel does not go well with hops in my opinion. It applies here also. High bitterness, with a slightly sharp earthy edge. Also med-light zestiness, light astringency. Med-light candyish caramel. The hops character is muted, hidden beneath everything already mentioned. Or maybe it is just earthy, I do not know. This was a disappointment, hard to drink, not tasty.

Can, 0.50l. Aroma of pine, citrus, tropical fruit and caramel. Pours clear brown color with large soapy tan-like head, great lacing and average sparkling appearance. Taste starts with light to medium sweet toasted malt and caramel, following is herbal, dried fruity and medicinal, mouthfeel is smooth but astringent as well with heavy bitter finish. Full body, oily texture and average carbonation in palate. Pandemic cure…

Can. Clear coppery, larger foamy white head, lasting. Nice sweet nose, fruity with some biscuity-caramel combination. Taste is medium bitter, pretty grassy and herbal. Actually quite sharp. Lasting aftertaste. Lovely nose but too sharp in teh taste.
