Rötlich. Angenehme Malznote.

Almost clear amber beer with a beige head. Aroma of caramelized malt, some grains. Taste of dry grainy malt, straw, cereals, biscuit.

0.33 l bottle from 'Trinkgut Knödgen', best before November 2023. Almost clear, deep reddish amber with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, off-white head. Sweetish, gently fruity, minimally resiny aroma of caramel, red fruits and light pine. Quite sweet, malty, moderately bitter, gently fruity and a bit resiny taste of caramel, red fruits, grains, light honey and a touch of pine, followed by a short, gently bitter finish. Medium to full body, smooth and slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Solid Red Ale, probably even better when fresh.

330ml bottle. Hazy, amber colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, off-white head. Slightly sugary, mellow and minimally bready, malty and slightly grassy and fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of red berries, a touch of treacle and pumpernickel. Taste is sweet-ish, minimally sugary, mellow malty and slightly grassy and fruity, hoppy, hints of red berries. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Cautious, a tad sugary - OK.

Tap at the Holy Craft Beer Bar, Düsseldorf. Darker clear golden with a head. Mildly sugary but mostly a hoppy deeper tasting brew, pretty good although perhaps not classed as a typical red ale from my part of the world.

Bottle picked up from that German website that isn't on here and which I keep forgetting to add and forget the name of. Had this at home Wednesday 16th November 2022, my birthday cooking a Pasta meal listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music. As the style would suggest this pours reddy amber with a mid sized off white head. Light on the hoppiness but it's there, more malt driven with a fruitiness, really soft moutheel, a little mineral edge. Yeah I think that this is pretty good.
