Small yet mighty! This porter style beer is a combination of black, roasted and crystalised malts and two British hops; Phoenix and Bramling Cross. Rich coffee and chocolate aromas blend with dark and red fruit flavours in this sessionable dark ale.

Can from Beer52. Pours a very dark brown with small beige head. Aroma is fairly sweet with roasted malts, coffee, liquorice, berries. At first the taste is roasty and quite drying and even the lightness of the body doesn't seem to balance it. On repeated sips the beer improves markedly with the sweetness breaking through and light coffee notes with a berry fruitiness. Its still feels like its missing something though. Mixed.

‘Tis okay. Super light bodied, not much to it. Rather simple and boring, similar to any homebrew. Gollem amstelstraat

[33cl can from Beer52.] A glossy cola brown coloured pour with a ring of beige head; rich coffee and chocolate aroma; dry in the mouth with a coffee taste; and a bitter finish with some purple fruit and roasted malts. Very drinkable.

Can from Beer 52. Pours a very dark reddish-brown with a generous but transient frothy beige head. Roasted malts and a touch of chocolate can be discerned in the aroma – if you try ! In the mouth it starts off sweet with roasted malts and molasses, then briefly some hoppy bitterness, before settling on a fruity chocolate combo. Finish is dry and fruity. It’s a bit thin but otherwise rather nice.

Thin beige head left a cover on a mahogany coloured body. Coffee, roasted & liquorice aroma. Medium bodied, lightly carbonated & clean on the back. Malt, roasted, nutty & berry tastes with a liquorice finish. Decent Session beer.
