Bête noire is our big up to those beers we cherish. For this new version, we chose a classic oud bruin malt bill but aged it in bourbon barrel.

Aus der Flasche (bbe 14.12.2023) im 2024-07 getrunken. Bei diesem rot-braunen Ale kommen Aromen von Kirschen, Balsamico Essig, Eichenfass zusammen. Alles sehr ausgewogen auch wenn die Säure deutlich ist. Im Abgang zeigt das feine adstringierendes Mundgefühl für den Fassausbau. Aromen durch Bourbon Barrel direkt sind mit nicht aufgefallen, aber das ist auch egal denn dieses Oud Bruin ist einfach toll.

Clear dark red purple brown beer, creamy dense beige head, stable, non adhesive. Aroma: nice, very fruity, some vinegar, wood notes, red fruits, earthy, dry, spicy, hint of vanilla. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice acidity up front, lots of red fruits, berries, earthy, a bit dusty, more red fruits, good stuff! Aftertaste: dusty, pretty acidic, very dry, tannins, some alcohol, earthy, acidic, vanilla notes, decent one!
