California is a beer inspired by the sunny state of California. This is a less bitter version with higher aroma, where we used lager yeast. This beer is therefore a lager.

Tap at Galerie Piva Vršovice. Hazy golden body, white head. Weird phenolic notes in the aroma. Cloves? Nutmeg? Evaporated, then just some muddled fruity touches apppeared. Lean sweetish taste, a bit flat, some citric, fruity hops, trace phenols, only vague bitterness. Err. Matuška needs to do far better.

Lahev (750 ml): Golden, a bit unclear, big lacy and loose white head, a blend of exotic-fruity and herbal hops in the nose, accompanied by very shy malty traces; moderate dryish bitter and mildly sweet flavour, quite light bodied, quite soft; slightly lingering dryish grapefruity finish. O.K., určítě to není nejlepší pivo z pivovaru Matuška...
