Inspired by Bermondsey bakery @breadamanger ‘s world-class croissant. Infused with toasted almond & double chocolate flavours. Rich, decadent, and unctuous with a sweet, smooth nuttiness this will keep you warm & cosy through these winter nights.

440ml can kindly shared by Finn. Pours a creamy fawn-coloured head over a back body, spotty lacing. Roasted grainy chocolate nose, inviting. Blended taste of dried fruits, chocolate and almond. The almond part lingers on towards a mid-dry fairly sweet endling, lightly roasted. Full bodied. Nice sipper. (Tromsø, 04.11.2023)

21/1/2023. Can shared at the first ITFC 2023 beer share. Bought direct from the brewery. Pours black with a small frothy tan coloured head. Aroma of almond, pastry, chocolate, nut. Medium sweetness, light but developing bitterness, and lots more almond on the taste. Medium body, smooth and creamy, soft carbonation. Finished with big almond, and a bit of cherry bakewell. Not my favourite BPAVK.

440 ml can, from Vinmonopolet, Nettbutikken. ABV is 11%. Pitch black colour, large to moderate tan head. Aroma of molasses, caramel, roast malts, chocolate and toasted almonds. Warming and rich mouthfeel, oily texture. Very sweet flavour with the same elements as the aroma, also notes of sweetened coffee, noticeable alcohol. Too sweet for me, really.
