In 1810, the Oktoberfest tradition was born when Munich celebrated the Crown Prince’s wedding with a special beer and 16 day party. Our version of this classic style blends rich malts for a hearty, smooth flavor with notes of caramel creating a brew that’s perfect for the season, or whatever you’re celebrating.

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Signal Variety. Appearance is clear amber with trace sparkle, quickly fading negligible bubbly head with no lacing. Aroma is strong caramel malts, toast, light nuttiness and fruit. Taste is bread, light caramel. Palate is medium bodied with thick texture, soft-to-average carbonation and dry, biscuity finish. Overall, beautiful color and aroma has some complexity but the rest of the beer doesn’t live up to it. Middle of the road.

The best offering on draft at the Chili’s in Gilroy while returning home. Pours a very clear dark amber with an off white head that is small, but retains. Both aroma and flavor have an overt malt richness. Some faint toast and plenty of caramel and bread loaf. This was quite tasty and enjoyable for a fest beer.

Rated from old notes. A medium bodied brew in which the malts are quite predominant. Only in the aftertaste did the hops come to the forefront. Well balanced, with a warm alcohol presence that makes itself felt after mid-bottle. Pleasant.

Cleanly brewed as expected from Sam Adams. I nice easy to drink ale with malty caramel notes standing out as the dominant sweet flavour. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz can, served on my flight from Salt Lake City to Amsterdam, so obviously I had to try it. Clear amber color. Big off white head. Aroma’s of caramel and bready malts, and red fruit. Flavor is moderate sweet, nutty. Light bodied, but not thin. Short finish, no new flavors.
