Hazy, tan, with a head that fades quickly. This has a fruity, raspberry aroma with a touch of phenolic character. On the palate, tart, but with some sort of phenolic note again, lending a harsh bitterness to the beer. Otherwise it’s pretty good, with a balanced sweet-tart character and fruitiness, and a lot of herbal character (rosemary, maybe?).

750ml bottle shared at Brian’s office. Pours a murky pale golden with a white head. Aroma is spices and herbs. Same taste with berries notes. Medium to high acidity. Quite pleasant.

Draft 13 oz pour at Hop and Hound, Bothell. Stoked to try this one, and the perfect day for a beer just like this. Golden orange pour, an active fizz head. Peach and apricot, bold orange fruit aroma. Very tart fruit up front. Sour orange, apricot and peach. Awesome! A combination of sour and carb bite to it. Top of the line refreshment on this one. Soft oak and spices are there, but the massive, amazing fruit bill on this takes over. Awesome sour, and one of the best I’ve had in quite a while.

On tap at De Garde, pours an opaque cloudy orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings lots of apricots and stone fruitiness in general, followed by light oak. Flavour is very complex, with loads of apricots, light spiciness, and oak. Deep, complex and elegant. Wonderful.

10 oz draft at Beer Revolution in Oakland, California. The pour is slight haze orange golden, with a well formed one inch white head. The aroma is fruit, sweet malt, raisin, and funky tartness that has some oak barrel to it. The taste has sourness that was not expected from the noe right away, wood, tannins, bright citrus funk, with the raisin malt sweetness underneath. The palate is medium to light bodied with active carbonation and a tart clean finish. Delicious.
