Tourist Season: Pekko

Draught at the brewery, 8/27/17.
Minimally hazy, drab brass- golden. White head is small and shows moderate to low retention.
Dusty, lightly citrusy hops mix with a good deal of black pepper phenols and crusty, grainy malts. Tons of mineral character and a bit of juicy lemon on the end. No alcohol or flaw.
Lemon-pepper galore with a bone dry, lean body yet a chewy, fairly soft texture. Lots of rustic grain character with lightly fruity yeast (apple, unripe pear) mixing with lime zest and more pepper from the hops. Tight carbonation and a strong mineral character though a somewhat nutty and/or chalky, abrupt finish. Quite nice and saisony while still featuring the hops.

6 oz pour on draft at Snallygaster 2017 shared. Slightly hazy straw yellow with off-white head. Aromas of citrus, floral, herbs. Tastes of citrus, wheat. Light body with a dry finish.

Hazy yellow pour with decent head and lacing. Lots of hay and some bitterness. Not too much bretta. Light crisp finish like cereal went soggy. Tap at Snally.

Pours unclear yellow, small white head. Smell is full , creamy hops, floral, mild bitterness,light funk. Taste is full, sharp a bit, floral, smooth, crisp. Very nice.
