Can, by way of a trade. Hazy, dirty gold. Skim of sticky, lacing, off white head. Nose has fusty lemon. Ripened grapefruit. Peachy esters. Clean malts. Smells pretty good, other than an odd, plasticine thing underlying all that. Taste is fairly sweet and estery, with a soft, citrus rind bitterness. Medium body. Smooth on the palate. Soft carbonation. Finish is juicy and estery bitter. Just falls short of excellent.

Tap at row 34 . Pours unclear, hazy yellow. Small white head. Smell is intense, typcial creamyness, as well as vermont style yeastyness. Taste is strong, relatively bitter, but very suitable for the style, thus not too much. Creamy, hoppy ( very tropical, bit grassy ) misses that extra bite to be world class, but def high above average.

Draft at LuLu’s, Alston, MA. Cloudy bright yellow appearance, normal carbonation. Aroma shows mild danky grass, mellow citrus, and some sweet grains.
The sweet malt and hops are balanced pretty well without a overly harsh bitterness. The flavor is really good citrus, tropical fruit and moderate herbal danky hints. Does have a nice soft mouthfeel. Overall, the flavor is pretty good but not sure it can hang with the other big imperial IPA’s in New England. Still, well worth a try.
