At the Thessaloníki tasting, day 3. Thnx to Eric. Pours black, no real head. Smell is bit boozy. Dark malts, rich roastyness. Very mild aspects of coffee and chocolate, no clear sign of peppers left. Taste is full, thick, rich roastyness, dark chocolate, notes of coffee. No chillies left. Very oily. As usual with the AB, it is rather harsh, and low in carbo. Still not convinced, even after this extremely hyped 04, about the series.

Courtesy of Daniele; synthetic cork, bottled 01.11.10; April 2012
Black color, pouring oily, without head. Immediate aroma of chillies, and roasted malt; light pepper and duat; strange but not bad. Thick body, sweet; chocolate and malt flavor, with light roasted malts and luckily just a hint of chilly; correct bitterness, with pleasant coffee impression in the end. Very good.

33cl bottle as Dog B. Brune foncée, col crémeux blanc-cassé.

Bottle split at CBC Islington, massive thanks to Fergus for bringing this one out on my 40th, 11/10/14. Black with moderate tan spotting and edgework. Nose is big roast maltings, dark chocolate, figs, molasses, earthy notes. Taste comprises rich roast, coffee tunes, dark malts, brown sugar, boozey notes, dark fruit rinds, light spice. Medium + bodied, fine carbonation, sweet roasty close with a peppering of spice. Decent impy, drinks well below its ABV - which may have dropped off a little, but has held up pretty well.
