Bottle thanks to the. Appearance - jet black with a big generous fawn head. Nose - deep, rich and dark chocolate. Taste - more rich and dark chocolate, wee pepper note on the finish. Liquorice maybe. Light buzzy prune note. Palate - medium bodied and creamy in texture. Roasty finish. Overall - lovely stuff.

Bottle thanks to Kristoffer, shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours black with a thick tan head. Aromas of liquorice, cardamom, black malt fruitiness. Taste is fruity, prunes, light peppery spice. No sign of the orange, but a lovely porter.

Bottle from the To Øl Christmas Calendar. Black, lasting thick beige froth. Aroma has mild roast, caramel, a little dried fruit and very faint cardamom if you know what you are sniffing for. Chocolate and roasted malt flavour. Has a little spicey edge, could be the caradamom. Something like vanilla too. Nice.

Bottle@Jespers - Black pour with a tan head. Dark roasted and sweet malty with some notes of chocolate and caramel, some treacle, dark dried fruit, some herbal spice going on, citrus peel, medium body, spiced dark malty finish.
