Bottle with thanks to Brewthusiast. Pours clear amber, small off-white head, dissipates fairly slowly leaving nice residual and nice lacing. Aroma is quite pure Bretty basement funk plus oak tannins and some vinous notes. Flavor has some initial sweetness, drying out quickly to a medium tartness and a light funk. Lots and lots of oak and white wine on this one. Very fruity flavor and body. Green grapes galore. Wow, this is a pure expression of wood and grape. I love the fruity aftertaste that wraps around the tongue. Medium body, but an enveloping rich mouthfeel. This is good beer!

Bottle: Poured a lightly hazy golden color ale with a small white foamy head with limited retention and some minimal lacing. Aroma of tart notes with light vinous notes also noticeable. Taste is a bit of a mess with limited cohesion and no sense of direction. Tart notes are easily distinguishable with Chardonnay notes not nearly as noticeable. Body is light with very low carbonation. I either got a bad bottle and just don’t enjoy this beer.

375 ml bottle a gift from my friend the Ratman! Nose is light funky and tart with a fruity sweetness and a bit of lactic acid and oak. Murky orange tinged yellow (almost the same shade as the clear Coronado Idiot I drank just before this) with a small yellow tinged head. Flavor is lightly tart and hoseblanket with a some citric lemony notes and a sharp finish.

37.5 cL bottle. Pours hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is citric and crisp orange fruity. Smooth fruity, light citric and wineous. Smooth fruity, light citric and mellow lingering fruity wineous finish.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Courtesy of adnielsen. Pours a cloudy golden with a small, off-white head. Amazing aroma of sophisticated aroma and white grapes combined with a great tartness. Light body, tart, overripe fruit - very tart - sophisticated noble rot and again these very refined barrel notes. Loads of funk and bugs. Amazing! 220413

Bottle @ Exira Beer Summit III. Pours a hazy golden orange appearance with a disappearing white head. White wine, pineapple, passion fruit, bretty, vanilla aroma. Juicy pineapple, mango, tropical fruity, big vanilla, very tart flavor. Really very tasty stuff with some acidity on the finish.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a bright but cloudy orange color with a medium white head. A big nose of white wine and mellow dusty fruit. Slight sour as are most of Crooked Stave’s beers, light funky Brett, big sweet Chardonnay, dusty oak. Quite nice, soft palate and big flavors.
