Tap at FOB, Rimini, Italy. Pours black, with medium grained light brown foam. Aroma is licorice and child brew coffee. Body is medium bitter, with good roastiness and a bit of sweetness. Final is short.

Pitch black with an average sized, quite dense mocha head. Excellent retention, little lacing. Averagely intense aroma shows dark bread and slight roasted malts, piney/resinous notes and a citric suggestion. Taste follows the aroma closely with perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness, and a hint of residual bitterness in a dry, refreshing finish. Aroma and taste are both rather simple, but it's a very clean, good kind of simplicity. Medium to light bodied with average to high carbonation that makes the beer quite lively but does not take away at all from great drinkability. The beer feels like less than 6 and a half abv. It's a rather standard interpretation of the style, but it's very nicely balanced, clean and drinkable. That's all i would ask for.

Bottlw shared at Leightons place 12/04/2018. Many thanks. A reddy mahogany brown coloured pour with a sticky beige head. Aroma is nutty Hazel nut,. Palate is pine, gassy. Flavour is composed of piney, woody,. Highish carbonation. Nice.

Bottle shared in Hackney - sourced from Italy. Pours. LeR brown with a creamy, tan head. Nice toasty aroma, toasted pine, grapefruit, orange rind. Light to medium sweet flavour with soft cocoa accents, some earth, more pine, citrus rind. Medium bodied with fine carboNtion. Balanced finish, further cocoa notes, grapefruit pith, scorched earth. Well balanced CDA.

Bodney Bier Huis bottleshare. Thanks to Leighton. Opaque dark brown beer, small tan head. Palate is smooth and thin, modest fine carbonation. Soft and semi dry thin dark malts. Tangy dark chocolate. Mild spice. Thin tangy finish. A bit hobbled, not awful.

Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, heavy hoppy, pine, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, pine, wood, dark malt, roasted, sweet malt.
