Thnx to thomas ! Pours clear blonde, smell makes one expect sweetness, as its def fruit forward, but it also has some of the funkyness. Taste is sharp, mild dry, rather high carbo. mild tartness, full-on fruity. very balanced, and (to me) very unique. best non-ice-cider I’ve had so far, as I recall. Tartness builds up towards the ending, realy making the drinker thirsty for another sip.

Bottle from Beers of Europe. Appearance - deep golden amber with a thin head. Nose - dry apple and pear. Light hay too. Taste - not as tart as expected, stewed pear and apple instead. Or like apple pie. Palate - close to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a finish that is good but could be tangier. Overall - good.

Bottled (from Beers Of Europe). Golden colour, no head. Aroma is apples, mild pear, some mild resiny and wooden notes. Flavour is pear, apples, some slight sugary notes. More like apple and pear juice than an alcoholic drink. Some slight vinegary notes.

Bottle from the Bristol Cider Shop. Pale gold in colour with the vaguest hint of pink and plenty of carbonation. Sweet, pear fruit aroma with some balancing barnyard rusticness and a touch of fruit. Pears were also at the forefront of the flavour, with a drier perry edge, before some apple sweetness and a medium dry finish. Refreshing, and a good blend of the two fruits allowing the pear character to shine through.
