The premise is interesting, I enjoy a good imperial stout, time to move along. The pint can I have says it was canned on 12/14/21. Pulling the tab and pouring inside of my Great Heights tulip glass. A fine look, black-brown in color with a superb, mocha brown top of very small bubbles. The scent definitely goes the ice cream direction. The drink is good, not great like I hoped. I taste strawberry, chocolate and vanilla, grant you that but limited, along with whole grain bread. The feeling is a bit thin, unfortunate. Ambitious undoubtedly, not life changing though.

16 oz. can. Pours black, with a big, foamy, brown head. The aroma is chocolate syrup, bright strawberry, chalk, cinnamon, and caramel. Very sweet and malty, with a hint of bitterness. Medium to heavy body, with a malty and smooth finish. Delicious!

16 oz. Aroma has notes of chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, roast, caramel, dark bread. Pours black with a thin beige head that falls into a ring pretty quickly. Taste is lightly to moderately sweet with a lightly bitter edge. Tastes a lot like Neapolitan ice cream with all three flavors fully represented, with some leafy hop presence in the background. Velvety mouthfeel. Underrated.

On tap at Angels Trumpet House, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out plenty of lactose and dark cocoa. Flavour is sweet, with lactose, dark cocoa, and a hint of tart caramel. Lots of lactose and cocoa on the finish. Not all that complex. It's alright.

Draft. A- Chocolate, vanilla, brownie batter. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, beige head. T- Brownies, roasty, slightly sweet, vanilla, cocoa. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, balanced finish. O- Had no idea this was a neo stout. Didn't get any of the strawberry, more brownie like. Solid beer all in all.

473ml can. Pours an opaque dark brown, almost black with a small, foamy, short lived, tan head that laces. Sweet aroma of chocolate malt, vanilla and strawberry. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, milk chocolate, brown sugar, strawberry and a hint of coffee in a dry, mild bitter finish. Medium body with a sticky, oily texture and soft carbonation. Tasty and easy to drink.

Can from Smokes n Suds. Dark brown pour with a large tan head. Aroma is chocolate, a little vanilla and something sweet akin to malted milk. Tastes pretty well like chocolate ice cream until it warms up to near room temp. Once it hits room temp the flavor is spot on melted Neapolitan ice cream. Never really got the strawberries until it warmed completely. Fun brew, need to pull these out the fridge and keep in the basement till ready.

Rich deep dark brown coloured body with a thinnish, single centimetre tall off-white head that fades slowly and leaves an oily slick on top. Aroma of earthy malts, caramelised sugars, molasses, toffee and some strong anise and licorice. Full-bodied; Rich molasses, figs, date and pitted fruits noticeable with a dry bite near the end with some spices noticeable along with a bunch of sugars including some icing sugar on top of all the deep dark fruits. Aftertaste shows a nice balance of sugars, malt, rich grain and a bunch of robust and fairly easy-going but very noticeable spices that hit nicely and bring out a great complexity, especially at the end! Overall, a very nice, pungent and very strong stout with a bunch of sweetness, but somehow gets down pretty easily and makes the sample go by fairly quickly! Great to sample even though i'm not in San Diego, at least i'm here in the state of California! I sampled this ten ounce pour on draught at Slanted Tree Kitchen & Taproom in Fairfield, California on 08-March-2022 for US$8,00 sampled while eating dinner.

Can from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours dark brn/blk with a foamy dark tan head. Sort of a Guinness head that went foamy. Aroma of chocolate with a strawberry note. Full bodied. Flavor is dark toasted malt with chocolate, vanilla, and notes of strawberry. Gets earthy in the finish. More dry than not. Burnt malt bitterness.
