A reasonably thick late 90’s-inspired imperial stout aged on cacao nibs and coffee beans.

Brewed in collaboration with Little Guatemala of Morganton, North Carolina. Serving as a cultural hub for the bustling Guatemalan community in Morganton, Little Guatemala is an incredibly ambitious and inspiring project which centers around roasting coffee and producing chocolate. Additionally, in the near future, Little Guatemala will feature a community center and indoor soccer complex.

Mashed with local barley malt and along with a mind bending amount of caramel and chocolate specialty malts. Aged on custom roasted Guatemalan coffee along with freshly roasted cacao nibs. Fermented with our preferred stout yeast strain for an unbelievably thick body and luxurious mouthfeel. Inspired by the old school imperial stouts from our youth, this throwback imperial stout is the perfect dark beer for your outdoor, socially distanced winter hangs.

Single from Whole Paycheck. Pint glass @home. Small, but chunky cocoa milk head. Brown on black body. Softly sweet donut & every slightly stiff chocolate coffee. Strong, but smooth & intense. Thick, dense, concentrated, cocoa & bourbon, but without real bourbon. Really melty dark chocolate, hearty coffee without the acid. Delicious.

Draft at Fonta Flora Morganton. Pours a deep brown to black with finger of tan head that lingers. Dark chocolate and coffee aromas on the nose with a touch of caramel. Palate is very similar with deep coffee notes and chocolate that lingers. Balanced and smooth, abv hidden well. Really nice.

From a 355ml can on 3/8/2021. Pours a super deep brown with a medium head. Has a lovely strong coffee nose. The taste features lost of dark and milk chocolate, masses of coffee and a dash of vanilla. Finishes with a light roasty, charcoal bitterness with just a hint of smoke and umami. The texture is syrupy, the carbonation moderate. A really nicely balanced coffee impy.

The aromas are fresh dark roast coffee, dark malt and hints of cacao. Flavors are very much like nose, coffee comes out more, lately sweet, well balanced and very smooth. Nice beer.
