22/II/23 - 33cl bottle from the brewery, shared @ home, BB: 16/II/23 (2023-172)
Clear dark brown beer, practically no head. Aroma: lovely, nice, tonka beans, alcohol, lots of caramel, sugary impression, some chocolate, coffee notes, nice! MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots of alcohol up front, chocolate, coffee, caramel, tonka, some almonds. Aftertaste: all tonka, good roast, little bitter, sugary, slightly sourish, good stuff, more tonka, I love it!
Sampled @ Billie's Craft Beer Fest 2022, Saturday Session. A black beer. Aroma and Taste of intense sweet dark malt, chocolate, tonka, good.

Earthy, herbal, almost like there’s mint, tonka beans, cocoa nibs. Dry and earthy, with a bit unpleasant herbal notes. Not my thing.

Pours black, no real head. Scent is chocolate, tonka, vanilla. ice cream. Taste is thick, chocolate, tonka, intense. Fullbodied, low to no carbo. Nice. Though I don't like amaretto at all - and I prefer not to have tonka in my beer - this truly is one of Kevin's best so far. Mostly due to the body ! I can enjoy dry beers, but Impy's to me need to be really thick -and yes, that means they're fairly sweet to. This is Malcroy's first actual (very) fullbodied beer to me, which I obviously didn't expect , but I truly love it ! Now lets hope that experiment 6 will be the same base, with different additions?
