From bottle at the Crooked Stave tasting at Beerlovers Bar, Antwerp. Light hazy reddish amber-copper color with off white head. Yeasty and malty aroma, light tart fruity notes, light funky, wood. Sweet and acidic taste, light fruity again. Light to medium oily body with soft carbonation.

2013 At the crooked stave tasting. Pours dark, peachy red. Smell is funky, oak, not as sour as other crooked stave. Taste is unintense, wattery, not really tasty. Perhaps some of the tastes have dissapeared ? Not very enthusiastic about this.

Bottle shared in London to honour JackL’s departure. Thanks to Paul for this sour sauce. Pours hazy pink-purple with a fluffy white head. Funky berry aroma, with some lemony undertones. Light sweet flavor with strong berry tartness, lemon, some bitter berry skins, soft funk. Light in body with average carbonation. Clean and dry on the finish, with more berry skins, mellow mustiness, slight acidic bite. Very nice beer.
