16 ounce can from Tavour. Hazy amber orange pour. Finger-high creamy beige head. Aromas of sweet malt, vanilla, allspice, cardamom and cinnamon. Flavor is light and bready, with notes of prior mentioned spices. Tastes like a bad cup of cold chai tea. Brief, bitter finish. Was expecting more. Meh!

Can from Tavour. Pours slightly translucent amber with a decent creamy tan head. Cinnamon wafts from the pour. Med body. Rather dry and cinnamon fills in for bitterness. There's a large veg component that does suggest sweet potato.

Amber pour from can. Cinnamon and other spice mix with sweet potato and caramel. Pretty good

16 oz. can, shared from Timmy. Pours a clear, orange color, with a small, foamy, off-white head. The nose is ginger, sweet potato, wet grass, caramel, and straw. Dry and savory, with a light, grassy bitterness. Medium body, sharp, and sticky. Pretty nice, spicy and clean.

Just not my bag, brah. Heavily spiced, to the point the nutmeg and allspice cling to the palate long, long after the swig is gone. Never been a fan of spice bombs, and that’s what we have here. The amber ale is completely lost.

12/18/21 Pounder from Appalachian. Lo-ball @home. Head-y, sticky, dulled, tea-colored brew. Smell is big on spice, but nothing is sharp, too fake or offensive; Starchy sweet potato pie. Creamy, low carbonation, bittersweet Aspirin. Dusty spice, starchy pasta water, aged hops. Not sweet, dry finish. Somehow this is still fresh tasting. Jaded meh.

Can pour from Fort Point Market. It's an orange-yellow with silty fine particles in suspension, no sparkle, finger-width off-white head with poor retention and fair lacing. Aroma is sweet potatoes and pumpkin spices. Taste follows aroma but more muted, mild bubblegum. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth texture, average-to-lively carbonation and finish as taste. Overall, aroma is the highlight and, contrary to pumpkin which has very little flavor and needs the spices, wish the sweet potatoes were allowed to shine through a bit more.

Sample at the taproom. Clear dark orange color with a medium off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Short strings of lacing. Aroma of roast malt, caramel and a bit of ripe fruit. Light-bodied with flavors of earthy malt, caramel and touches of fruity yeast. The finish is earthy with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.
