Following on from Ten Dollar Shake and Comfortable Silence; I Love You Honey Bunny is a smoothie with a plot twist. We had some assistance from Brooklyn’s Other Half this time out, and instead of fruit additions, included some 200kg of pure blossom honey! We’ve also stepped up to 50% oats in the grist, making the body even thicker and smoother than its predecessors. Launching at Leeds International Beer Fest and Beavertown Extravaganza, available in bottles the following week!

Bottle at home in Hackney - sourced via Clapton Craft. Pours hazy gold with a tight, creamy white head. The aroma is nice, peachy, with some pithy tangerine, grapefruit. Light-medium sweet flavour with some flinty dryness, more peach and tangerine, dry pale malts, mild bitter rind and pine needles. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Balanced finish, more pith, dry pale malts, rind, tangerine. Sound.

330ml bottle. Pours a misty yellow, bubbly white head. Aroma of pale malt, grain. Taste seems to nestle into the hoppy golden ale camp, with pale malt ruling the palate in tandem with a grapefruit bitterness. No discernible honey at all coming through, unfortunately. Great idea, but just falls flat.

Draft. An unclear yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of lemons, fruits, straw, and malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of lemons, spices, fruits, and straw, leading to a bitter finish.

Keg at the brewery. Honey and sweet citrus aroma. Opaque light gold. Thin creamy head. Some initial bitterness that carries on through on a low level. Hints of honey but it's not overt. Average carb. Long dry finish. Decent smooth IPA.
