37.5 cl Bottle. Best by 2013. Guessing it’s a retired beer, seing the latest reviews are old and so is this bar-purchased bottle. Pours rather unclear blonde. OK white head. Smell is - I kid you not - barbecue spices. bit sweet. No clear signs of the age , or the honey though. Taste is bit sour-ish ( not sour, but it kinda ’feels’ like a sour ) bit dry even. Mild sweetness, very , very late aftertaste has the typical madeira, from the age. It even starts of a bit bitter. It definately starts to fall appart, but at this stadium, the beer seems to be pretty interesting. Unique combo of tastes. Thought i’d taste and drainpour, but I’m actually enjoying this. The madeira gives the nice finishing touch that makes the circle of tastes complete. Without it ( when the beer is fresh) I guess i’d like it way less.

Bottled. A hazy yellow beer with a thin white head. The aroma has notes of brettanomyces, wheat, and dusty hops. The flavor is sweet with notes of wheat, brettanomyces, and lemons, leading to a dry finish.

37.5cl bottle, BB 01/2013.

Pistolshot plop on opening, and if no gushing, a white (fine, dense) head appears to the amount of 5x the muddy, pale orange, very carbonated beer; Fine, agreable sourish nose, Brett-like in the lambic way. Barnyard odours; hints at indeed honey, but not sweet. Less inviting Bretts in the mouth: doughy, sulphury, floormop variety. I fear an infection, here; medicinal plants, pharmaceutical. Feels even more carbonated than it looks. Quite slick, but hardly medium bodied. Ai. Read similar comments elsewhere.
