Sampled from a 22 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy bright yellow color with a huge fluffy yellow-white head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was strong citra hops, lemon, orange, faint tropical fruits and pepper. The flavor was bitter and tangy lemon, orange and grapefruit with a dryish grainy undertone. Long bitter citric finish. Medium body. The aroma promised much that the rest of the beer failed to deliver on. Ok.

22oz bottle-foamy offwhite-hazy gold. A-citrus-lemon zest/orange, some lt malt. Nose fades quickly unless swirled. T-floral/spice/background citrus hops, yeasty, 2nd lt malt-bready. Dry finish. Aftertaste is peach.

22 ounce bottle into tulip glass, best before 12/19/2012. Pours hazy golden amber color with a 2 finger fluffy white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Good foamy lacing clings to the glass. Aromas of big grapefruit, orange zest, lemon, mango, pepper, herbal, grass, pine, earth, floral, and yeast spices. Fantastic aromas with good balance and complexity. Great hop profile as well. Taste of big grapefruit, orange zest, lemon, pineapple, pepper, herbal, pine, floral, earth, grass, and yeast spices. Good amount of spicy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, pepper, herbal, pine, earth, grass, and yeast spices on the finish for a good bit. Nice balance and complexity of hop flavor and Belgian character; with a good bitterness/sweetness balance as well. No cloying flavors at all after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a fairly creamy and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with nearly zero warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a highly excellent White IPA! Great hop flavor profile with nice complexity; extremely smooth to drink. Highly enjoyable offering; might get more if it is still around.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy gold copper with a large frothy off-white lhead leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a strong floral hop with pine and grapefruit. Medium mouthfeel with a resin hop and citrus with a spicy malt and nice bitter finish. Easy to drink a very good IPA from Harpoon.

On tap at the Khyber Pass, Philadelphia. A slightly hazy pale straw colour with a thin white head - certainly looking like a White Beer; rather lacking in aroma with just a trace of spice; in the mouth, it’s much more IPA like with fresh grapefruit flavours; but again the finish is subdued. An interesting idea that’s good in parts.

Pours hazy gold into a snifter. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving spider lacing. Caramel, sourdough, nuts and yeast aromas. Dry with coriander and lemon upfront turning to grass before the bitter grapefruit pith in the lasting finish.

Bomber from Nikki’s Liquors. Pours a hazy orange color with a medium sized white frothy head. Fair head retention. Aroma of citrus, spicy hops and faint wheat. The taste is citrus, apples, herbal notes, spice, pale malts and wheat. Medium bodied. Decent.

Very excited to try this. One of the most exciting 100 Barrel beers they’ve released. Enjoyed at fridge temp out of a bomber purchased at the local grocery store. Served in a big ass bordeaux wine glass from Riedel. Appearance is gorgeous. minimal white head that fades fast. Gorgeous bright orange but foggy. Very nice. Tons of grapefruit, tangerine and some ginger on the nose. Taste is slightly disappointing though. The malt profile is overpowering to the bitterness from the hops. Still some tangerine and citrus but a lot more pine resin than I was hoping for. Some ginger and pepper at the finish. Too malty and this is even at 6.2%
