Pours a nice brown from a bottle, minimal lacing. Big astringent odor, like cold tea? Similar flavor, very tannic but with some sweetness waving frantically from the entryway, saying "Hey don't forget that I'm here!". Okay beer.

Sampled on draft at 3 Rivers this beer poured a nut brown color with a medium sized creamy off white head that lingered and left incredible lacing. The aroma was sweetish, toasty and had fruity & piney hops. The flavor was bitter with pine, cactus, lemon and a bit of tropical fruit. Medium length hoppy finish. Moderately full bodied and smooth.

500 ml bottle from Urban Barley in New York City. Deep copper color. Rocky tan head. Earthy, toasted malt nose. Caramel, bread and herbal hops. Interesting meld of nutty, toasted malt and herbal, piney hops. Tasty, and a bit of a departure for Singlecut.

Tap at Lost Borough. Brown-amber, hazy, with a low head. Citrus hop nose, piny resins, caramel. Malty flavor of caramel and chocolate, bread. Nicely hopped. A good American hoppy brown, I would guess, with a peppery, prickly finish.

Draught, smallish head, clear burgundy red color, herbal citrus aroma with some grains, yeasty vanila flavor, medium strong flowery bitterness and some fruitiness creeping in the back. Pleasant IPA.
