Tasted at ’Bierweekend de lambiekstoempers’ 2015. Pours rather clear copper ( towards chocolatty ). Small white head. Smell is sweet, bit chocolaty. Taste is bitter, sharp, chocolaty, bit caramel. Some earth and some leaves. Very nice and balanced. Way above expectations, this one !

Bottled@Delirium Café, Brussels. Very deep amber colour, mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is chocolate, mild ripe fruits, some mild toasted notes as well as some slight juniper. Flavour is fruity, raisins, wood, some nutty and mild toasted notes.

Clear deep reddish brown beer, creamy beige head, pretty stable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit musty and stale, sweet, some caramel, fruity touch, pretty metallic. MF: lively carbon, medium body. Taste: lots of dried fruits, soft roast, sweet and sugary, brown candi sugar, burnt caramel. Aftertaste: dried fruits, lots of caramel, sugary, overripe banana, bit artificial.

33 cl bottle @ Delirium Café, Brussels. BBE 06.10.2014. Aroma has odd bready malt tones, ripe fruits and berry juice. Feels somewhat leathery. Flavor has bready malt, cereal, some ripe fruits and hints of toffee. Also mild licorice tones. Somewhat malty palate. Unusual maltiness for a Belgian.

33cl bottle bought at 8ième fête de la bière Namuroise. BB 06/10/2013. Ambrée, col beige avec pas mal de sédiments flottant, col blanc dans le style champenois. Arôme malt grillé, caramel allant presque sur la noisette, côté fruité noir léger et un bouquet moyen d’écorce d’orange. Palais, malté, caramel pointe fruité orange, sur fruits noirs, note sucre brun, le tout est bien pétillant. Pour moi une version alternée de St Feuillien. Pas mal avec cet ajout d’écorce d’orange qui donne un profile agréable de bouche.
